Contract to potential hire opportunity for an experienced Avaya Systems Analyst/Engineer

Client requirements:

• Work authorization status: US Citizen or GC holder
• W2 hourly only (no c2c)
• Hybrid onsite 2-3 days/week; either in Denver, CO or Minneapolis, MN

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Focus on driving operational excellence by automating Avaya services, streamlining ticket resolution, and reducing manual efforts. You'll be instrumental in enhancing automation around Avaya Communication Manager (CM), Session Manager (SM), and other Avaya 10+ environments. Additionally, the role will support analytics, documentation, and knowledge sharing to optimize operations.

• Provide Tier 2/3 operational support for Avaya environments, troubleshooting complex issues.
• Work closely with engineering teams to implement automation and analytics-driven improvements.
• Collaborate with the ServiceNow team to enhance alarm automation, ticket workflows, and service event response.
• Partner with the Ansible automation team to optimize operational efficiency.
• Manage and improve number inventory using Number Pro and other Avaya toolsets.
• Develop and maintain knowledge articles, training materials, and documentation for the operations team.
• Support problem management, release management, and Avaya upgrades to enhance system performance.
• Configure and maintain Avaya servers, VMware environments, and associated infrastructure.

EXPERIENCE:

• 8-10+ years of experience in Avaya environments, providing Tier 2/3 support.
• Strong experience with Avaya Communication Manager (CM) and Session Manager (SM) (version 9 or 10+).
• Experience with ServiceNow, including navigation and automation tool usage.
• Ability to design Avaya solutions and support problem and release management.
• Experience with server configurations and VMware.
• Prior background in technical management or leading operational teams is a plus.
• Proactive, self-starter with a problem-solving mindset.
• Strong teamwork mentality, fostering collaboration across teams.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical insights into actionable knowledge.

• Experience in project delivery and resolving complex issues.
• Ability to build trust and foster strong cross-functional relationships.

The W2 pay range for this type of role is approximately $71.00 - $84.00 per billable hour. This range is an estimate and not a guarantee of compensation.
