As a Consulting Manager, you will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and execution of a new Strategic Ledger Program across our banking clients business operations. You will serve as a key point of contact between business functions and the operational and financial transformation teams, ensuring the successful implementation of a global financial ledger platform.

This role involves program management, operational strategy development, and detailed execution planning, with a focus on process improvement and seamless data migration from legacy systems to the new global platform. You will play a critical role in leading the change management effort and ensuring alignment with the future state architecture. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop, document, and syndicate the operations strategy and vision for the Strategic Ledger Program, ensuring alignment with the overall transformation goals.
  • Implementation Planning: Lead detailed planning for the migration to the new ledger platform, including conversion strategies, operational readiness, and go-live plans.
  • Program Management & Governance: Provide consolidated program management, including governance, progress tracking, and issue escalation across the global operations footprint.
  • Best Practices & Standardization: Promote standardization and consistency in program execution across the global operations organization, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Stakeholder Management: Lead prioritization meetings, provide regular status updates, and report on key milestones at senior forums and leadership meetings.
  • End-to-End Process Management: Model best practices for managing complex financial and operational processes, ensuring seamless integration of the new general ledger across all global entities.
  • Change Management: Drive large-scale change management initiatives, ensuring effective communication, training, and support for the transition to the new platform.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with software vendors and third-party consulting teams, ensuring they deliver on project milestones.

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Industry Experience: 5+ years working with projects in the Global Markets, Global Banking, or Finance/Accounting/General Ledger space.
  • Domain Expertise: Extensive knowledge in operations and finance functions, with a deep understanding of end-to-end transaction lifecycle processes.
  • Change Management Experience: Proven track record in managing large, complex implementations and transformation programs, particularly in finance or operations.
  • Migration Expertise: Experience in leading large-scale data migrations, ensuring accurate and efficient transition from legacy systems to new platforms.
  • Process Improvement: Demonstrated success in streamlining operational or finance processes and driving efficiency through process improvement initiatives.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of general ledger systems, their functionalities, and best practices for implementation.
  • Financial Products Knowledge: Good understanding of both Markets and Banking products, including transaction booking, cash settlement, and associated controls.
  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to align operational processes with broader organizational strategies, with proven experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Vendor Management: Experience managing software vendors and external consulting teams to deliver complex technology implementations.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Management, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or similar.

 

The base salary range for this role is $130,000-$160,000
