Job Title: Director of Business Development

A prominent and highly reputable custom plastic molding organization seeks to hire a Director of Business Development focused on growing their packaging portfolio. Reporting to the VP of Sales and Business Development, this position will be responsible for developing new accounts and expanding existing business within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and medical device sector(s). This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity that can be based anywhere in the US (fully remote with travel).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Research and profile potential new customers within target markets (healthcare packaging) and develop sales strategies specific to each prospect.
• Proactively develop relationships with potential new accounts.
• Manage and expand business with existing customers/accounts.
• Generate RFQs for new business opportunities.
• Forecast, track and report upon sales, prospecting activity, and changes to market conditions.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through engagement and follow through.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred (ideally Business, Engineering, etc.)
• 5+ years of demonstrated success within new business development capacities.
• Extensive experience/familiarity with plastic packaging, ideally specific to healthcare product manufacturers.
• Willingness and ability to travel to meet with customers as required.
• Self-starter mentality with ability to work with little supervision.
