Description

The Director, Sales Engineer, is a pivotal role within the sales organization, responsible for leading a team of sales engineers to drive technical sales initiatives, support the sales team, and ensure successful customer engagements. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and sales acumen to effectively manage the team and contribute to the overall revenue goals of the organization.

"This is a Hybrid role, that requires 3 days a week in office - "Monday, Tuesday & Thursday"

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a team of sales engineers, positioning them as experts in product introduction, evaluation, and education.
  • Cultivate a profound understanding of web scraping and web data domains, becoming an expert in utilizing our technology to help customers achieve their business goals.
  • Act as a player/coach, supporting your team in delivering compelling presentations and demos to customers and prospects.
  • Partner with sales leadership to achieve quota targets and strategic goals, fostering strong customer and internal relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with prospects, and our sales team to develop and deliver winning solutions.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with product, engineering, sales, marketing, and solutions teams.
  • Cultivate a profound understanding of web scraping and web data domains, using our technology to assist customers in achieving their business goals.
  • Deeply understand customer needs and challenges to effectively tailor solutions that meet their specific requirements.

Requirements

  • Over 8+ years of industry experience in a pre-sales or engineering role, with at least 2 years in direct frontline management.
  • Proficient in programming languages including Python, Java, and Node.js.
  • Profound knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.
  • In-depth understanding of web technologies, such as HTML and CSS.
  • At least 3+ years of experience building and leading a team of sales engineers or technical professionals.
  • Proven experience in technical sales or sales engineering roles, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and executive audiences through spontaneous whiteboard discussions and structured demos.
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or an equivalent level of experience preferred.
