Job Description

The Sales Operations Director plays a critical role in supporting the sales team by streamlining processes, analyzing data, and providing strategic insights to drive sales performance. This role is responsible for enhancing sales productivity, implementing effective sales strategies, and ensuring the sales team has the tools and resources needed to succeed.

Job Responsibilities

Process Optimization:

  • Develop, implement, and manage sales processes and workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Identify and address inefficiencies or gaps in sales operations and recommend improvements. 

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze sales data to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making. 
  • Create and maintain regular sales performance reports, dashboards, and key metrics. 
  • Track sales KPIs and generate reports to monitor progress and performance. 

Sales Strategy Support:

  • Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and execute sales strategies and initiatives. 
  • Assist in the planning and execution of sales campaigns and promotions. 

Sales Tools and Technology:

  • Manage and optimize sales tools and technologies, including CRM systems and sales automation tools. 
  • Provide training and support to the sales team on the use of sales tools and technology. 

Forecasting and Planning:

  • Support the sales forecasting process by analyzing historical data and market trends. 
  • Assist in developing sales targets, quotas, and budgets. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, finance, and customer service teams to align sales operations with broader company objectives. 
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth execution of sales initiatives and processes. 

Sales Team Support:

  • Provide administrative support to the sales team, including onboarding and training of new sales representatives. 
  • Address and resolve any operational issues faced by the sales team. 

Compliance and Governance:

  • Ensure adherence to sales policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices. 

Requirements

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales operations, sales support, or a related role; experience with CRM systems and sales analytics tools required. 

Job Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot). 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
