Job Title: EMR/EHR Project Manager/Business Analyst

Organization: Center for Community Alternatives (CCA)

Overview:

A non-profit organization supporting individuals impacted by the legal system, is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager/Business Analyst to lead the selection and implementation of a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for methadone dispensing at their Brooklyn clinic. This role requires both project management and business analysis expertise to ensure the successful completion of the project.

Location: Hybrid onsite in NYC (2-3 days onsite a week)

Duration: 6+ months (Target completion: April to June 2025)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Selection:
  • Lead the EHR vendor selection process and facilitate system demonstrations.
  • Evaluate vendors based on system capabilities and summarize team scoring against project requirements.
  • Assist in choosing the best vendor to meet client's needs.

Project Management & Business Analysis:

  • Manage the entire EHR implementation process, ensuring timely execution.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to gather and represent system needs.
  • Track project progress, address risks, and manage team accountability.
  • Provide business analysis support during system design and implementation.

System Implementation & Migration:

  • Work closely with the selected vendor to implement the new EHR system.
  • Oversee the migration from the old system to the new one, ensuring data integrity and a smooth transition.

User Training & Support:

  • Lead training sessions to equip clinical staff with the knowledge to use the new system effectively.
  • Manage user acceptance testing and ensure a successful system launch.

Optional:

  • Review vendor security and disaster recovery plans.
  • Assist in contract negotiations with the vendor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience implementing EHR systems.
  • Strong project management and business analysis skills.
  • Experience in leading vendor evaluations, including summarizing team findings.
  • Ability to work in a small, dynamic non-profit environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with EHR systems designed for behavioral health providers.
  • Familiarity with opioid treatment program EHR systems.
