Job Summary:

The Sales Engineer is a technical expert who works closely with larger clients to identify business opportunities and provide solutions across various technologies. You'll build relationships with customers, collaborate with the sales team, and consult on solutions related to data centers, cloud, networking, security, and collaboration tools. This role is key in helping customers understand how these technologies can benefit their business.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Work with existing clients to uncover new opportunities and build lasting relationships.
  • Sales Collaboration: Partner with sales teams to drive sales and expand business across multiple technology areas (Data Center, Cloud, Network, Security, Collaboration, and Services).
  • Technical Consultation: Provide expert advice on various technologies such as Dell/EMC, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, Palo Alto, Pure Storage, Azure, and AWS.
  • Pre-Sales Support: Assist with product demonstrations, presentations, and respond to technical inquiries during the sales process.
  • Strategic Planning: Help build and execute a regional or territory-based sales plan, collaborating with the account executive team.
  • Customer Needs Analysis: Engage with key contacts (e.g., CIOs, IT Directors, CTOs) to understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Internal Knowledge Sharing: Share your technical knowledge with sales teams through training, workshops, and ongoing support.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with local technology communities, manufacturers, and partners to strengthen the company's market presence.
  • Travel: Travel up to 75% to client locations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working in complex Data Center sales opportunities.
  • 5+ years of pre-sales experience in technology solutions.
  • Expertise in Converged Infrastructure, Disaster Recovery, and Virtualization technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of mainstream technologies such as Dell/EMC, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, Palo Alto, Pure Storage, Azure, and AWS.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be willing to travel to client locations up to 75%.
  • Ability to work extended hours when required for special projects.
