As we scale, we’re looking for a seasoned sales professional to guide our sales strategy, mentor our team, and help us achieve our ambitious growth goals.
What You’ll Do
As a Fractional VP of Sales, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping Kollegio’s sales approach, mentoring our sales development reps, and driving strategic improvements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Sales Strategy & Advisory: Provide high-level guidance on sales strategy, including target markets, outreach approaches, and pitch optimization.
- Advise on Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies and help refine our sales processes.
- Team Mentorship: Mentor and coach Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to improve their performance, confidence and communication styles.
- Share best practices for cold calling, lead generation, and relationship building.
- Pitch Development: Review and refine Kollegio’s sales pitch to ensure it resonates with target audiences.
- Provide feedback on messaging, positioning, and value proposition.
- Account Executive Support: Offer strategic advice on closing high-value deals and managing key accounts.
- Help identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze sales metrics and provide actionable insights to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Recommend tools, technologies, and processes to enhance sales operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Must Have: Expertise in B2B sales, specifically selling to college admissions departments/ higher ed institutions.
- 10+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of success in senior or leadership roles.
- Experience managing and mentoring sales teams, particularly SDRs and account executives.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Based in the United States and available for part-time collaboration.
Bonus Points:
➕ Experience building or scaling sales teams in a startup environment.
➕ Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales enablement platforms.
➕ A network of contacts in higher education.
