Head of Sales Development - VP of Sales Development - Lead Global Team of 50+
Key responsibilities
- Lead the Global Sales Development organization to deliver outstanding growth outcomes for the business, reflected in strong and consistent lead generation
- Develop Sales Development strategy in conjunction with the C-suite leaders, Sales leadership team, and key cross-functional partners including Revenue Operations, Customer Experience, and Marketing
- Foster a culture of care, innovation, transparency, intensity, and excellence within the Sales Development organization
- Develop performance metrics needed to set clear performance expectations, monitor, and manage the performance of the Sales Development organization
- Implement data-driven strategies to identify areas or improvement and drive meaningful changes and regularly report on the Sales Development team’s performance
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to advance the abilities of the Sales Development team
- Define and develop the processes, playbooks, and tooling needed to support a successful and robust operations of the Sales Development team across all regions
- Drive improvements and optimize lead generation and MQL-to-Opportunity conversion in partnership with the Marketing team
- Design and execute initiatives to accelerate lead generation through improved conversion rates encompassing enhanced data-driven insights, processes, and tooling
- Hire, develop and retain exceptional Sales talent staying focused on future progression and internal mobility within the Sales team
Requirements
- 15+ years direct experience in Sales Development and 5+ years leading and motivating layered management teams
- Meaningful and consistent history of strong quota attainment and track record of success leading Sales Development organizations in a global setting
- Ability to design and execute a business plan to achieve revenue goals, determine growth strategy and align cross-functionally to drive company objective
- Deep knowledge and playbooks for lead generation, customer acquisition and expansion
- Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and lead high-performing Sales Development organizations
- Prior experience leading Sales Development teams through a significant transformation program is highly beneficial
- Strong communication skills, including fluency in written and spoken English
- Prior experience with SaaS models highly preferred
- Experience working remotely is considered a plus
