Aromatherapy Associates has been sharing the therapeutic powers of essential oils for over 35 years. The Brand was founded in 1985 by Geraldine Howard & Sue Beechey, therapists that had trained under the renowned aromatherapist Micheline Arcier, who can be traced back to the modern-day founders of aromatherapy. It was then that they experienced first-hand the powerfully positive effects of essential oils on our physical and emotional wellbeing.

Job Summary

The Head of Sales Spa USA is responsible for the maintenance and profitable sales growth of new and existing Spa accounts within a region, reporting into the Chief Commercial Officer.

​

For larger territories the Head of Sales Spa USA will be supported, and will manage, one or more Business Development Managers and will split the territory accordingly and with the Head of maintaining direct accountability for the maintenance of key accounts within region.

​

This role requires a strong understanding of the spa industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to drive business growth and maintain client relationships.

​

Key Responsibilities

​

1. Business Maintenance:

  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain existing business relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling spa services and products to existing clients.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to assess their needs, address any concerns, and provide solutions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns to retain and attract new clients.

2. Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Management:

  • Define and track KPIs related to sales performance, client retention, and revenue growth.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans.
  • Regularly report on KPIs to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.

3. Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the spa's client base and revenue streams.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential target markets and develop strategies to penetrate them.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective sales and marketing materials.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote the spa's services.

4. Sales Team Management:

  • Lead and manage the sales team, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
  • Set sales goals and objectives for the team and monitor their progress regularly.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and initiatives to drive revenue growth.
  • Foster a positive and motivating work environment to encourage teamwork and individual success.

5. New Business

  • Identifying and acquiring new business opportunities in the region.
  • Prospecting and generating leads through various channels, including Trade Shows and Events.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects in the local market.

​

Role Requirements

​

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in the spa industry, with a focus on sales and business development.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proactive and results-oriented, with a track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs.
  • Knowledge of spa industry trends, products, and services.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools.
  • Able to travel for client meetings, industry events, and business development opportunities within the USA and Internationally. This role will require 80% travel.
