Implementation Specialist – Estimation

This Implementation Specialist will engage with both clients and internal teams to deliver outstanding implementations. Essential Duties  

  • Conducts eligibility and estimation implementations to ensure on time delivery and excellent customer service  
  • Analyze, format and load client billed and allowed amounts  
  • Analyze and crosswalk client payer and plan lists  
  • Engage client/vendors to identify any missing/incomplete information  
  • Ensure outstanding implementations according to project timelines  
  • Interpret eligibility responses, messages and payer plan information to write rules to assist with estimation accuracy  
  • Actively monitor external testing done by clients and meet with clients weekly to review testing results  
  • Manage client expectations throughout the implementation process  
  • Responsible for scope management, change management, estimating impacts of scope change  
  • Serve as the liaison between clients and non-technical users to deliver technical specifications to development teams in order to ensure product requirements are delivered correctly  
  • Work in an online ticket queue during the implementation process to monitor and resolve client issues and questions.  
  • Conduct ongoing QA tasks to ensure existing and new products are working properly and ready for implementation, migration, etc.  
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, internal staff, and management to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.  
  • Educate and train clients on how to effectively utilize products and services to achieve their goals.  
  • Properly escalate unresolved issues/requests to appropriate internal teams and ensure items are handled in a timely fashion.  
  • Research and diagnose clients’ system issues during the implementation to identify and execute solutions for requests.  
  • Resolves client issues and provides support for eligibility and estimation  
  • Serves as back up for production support when needed  
  • Participates in and manages special projects with an emphasis on reporting.  
  • Conducts regular client utilization reporting to understand product usage and client satisfaction.  
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Needed  

  • 4-year degree preferred or 3+ years in healthcare

Qualifications You Must Have  

Required:  

  • Intermediate level knowledge of medical billing, insurance payers, and plans.  
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.  
  • Highly motivated, goal & detail oriented, and persistent personality.  
  • Ability to understand and efficiently execute system-related solutions.  
  • Ability to quickly learn technical material and apply new processes and technologies.  
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and deadline pressures well.   
  • Intermediate-to-Mastery level knowledge of basic Microsoft Office applications.   
  • Flexibility to work with internal groups and external users.   
  • High level of enthusiasm and initiative.  
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.  
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.  
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred:  

  • Knowledge of EDI Transactions.   
  • Familiarity with healthcare terminology and workflow.  
  • Knowledge of eligibility and estimation workflow.  
  • Knowledge of Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management process.

Work Environment  

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work and overnight travel up to 5%.
