Job Purpose -

The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales by understanding and effectively communicating the benefits and value of products and solutions to prospective clients. This role involves identifying new sales opportunities, providing technical support, and ensuring customer satisfaction through strong relationship-building and project management.

Roles And Responsibilities -

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of products and solutions to clearly convey their advantages to potential clients.
  • Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through networking and market research.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to prospective customers.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to meet customer requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals and quotations.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
  • Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and meeting customer needs.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements to effectively position products in the market.

Must-Have Qualifications -

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in technical sales or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the products and solutions being sold.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Project management skills to oversee projects from inception to completion.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and product development teams.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
