Role Overview

Paramount Digital is seeking a motivated Junior Front End Developer to join our growing development team. We’re looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, a passion for coding and a desire to develop their skills in the eCommerce space. You’ll work closely with our design team to bring their concepts to life, translating designs into clean, semantic, and reusable code optimised for the Shopify platform.

The successful candidate will be based in our Liverpool office at The Plaza full-time during the first 3-6 months. This initial period is crucial for hands-on training, learning Shopify, and collaborating closely with our developers to ensure seamless support for questions and debugging in a face-to-face environment. It’s a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills, work on real client projects and establish yourself in a fast paced innovative environment.

Role Expectations

Key Responsibilities

​

• Assist in the development and customisation of Shopify themes.
• Collaborate with the team to implement features and functionality that meet client requirements.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues and provide timely solutions.
• Learn and apply Shopify Liquid code for theme customisation and dynamic content.
• Optimise stores for performance, usability, and accessibility.
• Stay up-to-date with Shopify platform updates and best practices.
• Provide technical support and maintenance for existing Shopify stores.

Who We're Looking For

​

We're looking for a Junior Front-End Developer who’s eager to learn and grow, with a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You'll be working on Shopify themes, troubleshooting issues, and helping to build responsive, high-performing websites, all whilst collaborating with a supportive team in a creative and forward thinking environment.

What You'll Bring

​

• Previous web development experience (commercial or personal projects)
• Basic understanding of web development technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and concepts quickly.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under the guidance of senior developers to meet project goals.
• Experience with Cross-browser compatibility
• A good understanding of building responsive websites
• Based in Liverpool or able to commute to the office full-time for the first 3-6 months.

Desirable Skills (Not Mandatory)

• Educated to a degree level or equivalent
• Familiarity with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms (preferred but not required).
• Wordpress experience
• TailwindCSS

• Figma
