Biocode Ai (www.biocode.ca) is transforming the way Veterinary Care is delivered in North America. We are excited to be expanding our technical team and we are looking for a passionate, positive and technically oriented Mobile Development and Front End Engineer with strong iOS and Android app development experience. This is a contract position with an opportunity for a full time position after a successful contract period. Join our rapidly growing company looking to improve the delivery of Animal and Human healthcare.

Programming Languages and Frameworks:

• Strong skills in frontend development using Vue.js.
• Strong experience with ionic capacitor.
• Proficiency in Vue.js for building modern, dynamic web interfaces.
• Experience with mobile development frameworks, particularly Capacitor, to create cross-platform mobile apps for Android and iOS.

Backend Technologies:

• Experience with API design, development, and integration.
• Familiarity with RESTful services and best practices for scalable backend solutions.

Cloud:

• Strong working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL and deploying applications.
• Hands-on experience with containerization.

​

General Experience:

• A love of veterinary medicine and helping to improve the quality of care for animals.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.

Location, Salary & Benefits

• This is a contract position with the possibility of transition to full time after a successful contract period.
• This can be either an in-office or remote, work-from-home position with the requirement for in-person meetings up to twice quarterly. Candidates that wish for an office setting either full or part time will have access to our Vancouver, BC Yaletown location, located in the heart of the city’s tech vibe.
