Role Overview

We're seeking a driven and resourceful new business sales individual to spearhead our client’s efforts in introducing their proven learning platform and nascent data platform to key players in the investment banking sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a salesperson with tenacity, a keen interest in finance, and a strong work ethic to make a significant impact. In short, this is a “hunter” role which requires lots of outbound sales prospecting activity.

Key Objectives

  1. Client Acquisition: Identify and engage prospective clients through proactive outreach, networking, and initiating and supporting targeted marketing campaigns to build relationships with target organizations.
  2. Sales Growth: Drive revenue growth by effectively communicating the value proposition of our platform and closing sales with new clients and renewing existing relationships.
  3. Platform Adoption. In conjunction with the wider teams identify, initiate and support ideas that drive adoption of the platform within existing clients.
  4. Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations to understand their needs and position our platform as a valuable solution.
  5. Market Feedback: Gather market intelligence and feedback from clients to inform product development and enhance our offering to better meet the evolving needs of the financial industry.
  6. Performance Tracking: Utilize sales metrics and reporting tools to track progress towards sales targets, identify areas for improvement, and optimize sales strategies for maximum effectiveness.

What You Will Bring

· Experience of selling data or learning services in the finance sector; you’ll have a few people you know who can reach out to start the ball rolling.

· Proven sales record in this, or a related, market.

· Enthusiasm to work with the marketing team to test and develop ways to generate leads.

· A keen interest in building on a strong but nascent client base to create a disruptive offering.

· Determination to roll up your sleeves and continually approach challenges with elegant and new ideas.

The Offer

· Remote working – but you will need to be based in/around the New York City area as the majority of clients and prospects need to be met – and they are in NYC.

· Base salary of circa $120-130k which can be doubled in time through the excellent sales commission structure. (Uncapped too)
