Payment Implementation Manager

Job Overview:

Stratfield is looking for a Payment Implementation Manager to join our client. A successful candidate will have a solid understanding of payment systems and will be tasked with leading the end-to-end implementation process to ensure effective integration with business operations and strategic goals.

This is a 12 month contract position that will be based in Atlanta. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full implementation process for payment systems, ensuring they meet both business requirements and timelines.
  • Define and execute a product strategy for the payment systems that supports the operational and customer experience goals.
  • Develop and manage a product roadmap, ensuring milestones are met.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather detailed business and operational requirements.
  • Evaluate and prioritize features and functionalities based on business impact, managing an evolving product backlog.
  • Craft comprehensive user stories with detailed acceptance criteria to guide development and ensure alignment with technical and business objectives.
  • Work closely with development teams and stakeholders to refine and clarify requirements.
  • Manage the configuration and customization of the payment system to meet the specific needs of operations (e.g., integration with POS, currency support).
  • Ensure the payment system complies with PCI standards and accommodates various payment methods.
  • Act as the primary liaison between development teams and stakeholders, facilitating clear communication on project status, updates, and changes.
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders regarding project progress, feature rollouts, and any changes in prioritization.
  • Coordinate with vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement system updates or improvements as needed.
  • Lead the integration efforts with external systems, such as loyalty programs, POS, and ERP systems, ensuring seamless operation.
  • Track system performance metrics such as transaction speed, success rates, and downtime, optimizing for performance and user experience.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong expertise in payment processing systems, including credit/debit transactions, mobile, contactless payments, and digital wallets.
  • Familiarity with payment systems and Oracle Simphony POS integration.
  • Proven experience with the integration of payment systems into Oracle ERP, Oracle Simphony POS, and other relevant systems (e.g., accounting, loyalty, supply chain).
  • Experience working with Elavon and Fiserv for payment processing.
  • In-depth knowledge of PCI-DSS compliance and payment system data security/privacy regulations.
  • Proven ability to gather and analyze business needs and translate them into detailed technical requirements and user stories.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, while managing expectations and providing updates.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and executing a product vision that aligns payment system development with broader business and customer objectives.
  • Bachelors Degree.
