WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

As a Presale Engineer, you are responsible for identifying new features, products, and business opportunities while being a critical driver of sales initiatives. Our team collaborates with clients to understand their challenges and solutions. You will work to become a trusted advisor for our clients, enabling you to build confidence in TP-Link's technology infrastructure.

WHAT YOUR FUTURE LOOKS LIKE:

  • Knowledge base on networking  
  • Understanding business scenarios of hospitality, restaurant, or health care  
  • Verification of whether products will work for customers  
  • Delivering presentations and demonstrations to prospective and current clients  
  • Liaising with those developing products/services to gain an in-depth knowledge that you can relate to customers - and to let them in on user behavior and/or any potential changes clients would like  
  • Helping the sales team to reach targets  
  • Conducting research into the industry - including competitor research  
  • Potentially considering new markets or clients to contact, based on your knowledge of both the products/services and their users  
  • Experience working in highly collaborative environments  
  • Ability to manage a project, work to deadlines, and prioritize between competing demands  

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience  
  • A Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Engineering or related field  
  • Background in Networking; Certifications related to networking can be advantageous  
  • Based in Southern California, able to work in Irvine office  
  • Travel to the client's location to propose solutions or conduct training when needed.  
  • Must possess strong communication and presentation skills  
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex technical details to a non-technical audience  
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM/Salesforce experience preferred  

Benefits

Salary: $80K - 150K DOE
