Job Description

Reporting to the Interim SVP of Sales and Marketing, the Director of Sales, the Pre-Sales Engineer will play a vital role in promoting and showcasing the Connexall solution, assist in understanding the needs of prospective customers, and provide support to the Sales team. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert and play a critical role in defining customer’s business needs and software functionality. They will play a key role in ensuring the ongoing success of our customers by nurturing relationships with key customer stakeholders, advising them on ways to further adopt our technologies to combat their business challenges, and serve as a partner and trusted advisor on innovative, complex customer initiatives that push the limits of, or apply, our solutions in new and different ways.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work to ensure our customers are continuously maximizing the full potential of our solutions throughout the organization to improve the safety, value, and user experience of health care delivery.
  • Play a critical role in defining customer’s business needs, current gaps, and technical requirements.
  • Meet key decision makers, face-to-face, to understand customer challenges, present solutions, and assist the Sales team to close new business from a technical and solutions perspective.
  • Assess customer data to identify pain points, work with the Sales team to recommend solutions, monitor progress of opportunities, and ensure efficient and timely closure of customer success campaigns.
  • Engage in sales events and processes, facilitate workshops, engage project stakeholders (including third party representatives), and direct and delegate business analysis activities.
  • Promote the Connexall brand and accomplishments by contributing to white papers, marketing materials, and presenting at industry events.
  • Work closely with Account Executives to support sales opportunities including but not limited to RFP/RFI procurement, vendor security response, customer demos, etc.
  • Routinely align with Solutions Innovation and Design team to exchange information on upcoming product updates and advocate for customer needs to be assigned to roadmap.
  • Provide support to Sales team in maintaining relationships with existing customers and building relationships with potential customers.
  • Have special, in-depth knowledge of Connexall solutions and customers’ business to enhance the Sales team's understanding of project scope.
  • Deliver technical sales presentations and demos, provide designs, proposals, business cases, and corresponding documents.
  • Support Sales Administration team to advise on quoting for highly technical, complex, or non-standard initiatives.
  • Participate in conferences, tradeshows, and sales meetings to explain, demonstrate, and educate potential customers on Connexall’s solutions.
  • Support project-based training and go-live activities as needed.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field required.
  • Over 5+ years of experience in technical presales supporting role with demonstrated ability to successfully meet and exceed targets by generating new revenue required.
  • Experience in or knowledge of the Healthcare industry considered an asset.
  • Excellent diagramming skills – including experience illustrating workflow, dataflow, and system connection diagrams.
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Office 365 with emphasis on PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Demonstrated strong listening, written, oral, and presentations skills with the ability to discuss highly technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
  • Self-motivated and positive with a "can-do" attitude.
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and take subsequent action.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers to understand challenges and strategies.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
  • Experience working in a team orientated and collaborative environment.
  • Take independent actions, participates in self-development activities, and keeps up with emerging technologies.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support sales initiatives.
