I am looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer with experience in the automotive, machinery, defense, or aerospace domains to join my client from Germany that creates an engineering intelligence platform that helps develop, produce and maintain highly complex mechatronic products, such as passenger cars or aircraft, more efficiently and sustainably.

Ideally, you have to be located in Berlin, Germany, but they will be open to those who live elsewhere in Germany but are ready to travel to Berlin for client and team meetings.

As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you will be a trusted advisor to the customers, utilizing your domain expertise to bridge the gap between their engineering challenges and the transformative capabilities of the company's product. Your role will be key in demonstrating how the company's solutions can address specific industry pain points and drive measurable business outcomes.

You will:

  • Engage directly with customers to understand their technical challenges and business objectives.
  • Translate complex customer requirements into customized technical solutions that highlight how the product can bring immediate value.
  • Develop and present compelling use cases, mock-ups, and prototypes that resonate with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Lead technical workshops and discovery sessions with customer teams to explore their specific needs.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer within the company, providing valuable feedback to the product and engineering teams. Your insights will help shape the future direction of the company's platform, ensuring it continues to meet the evolving needs.

You have:

  • Degree in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering, computer science, or related technical studies.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in the automotive, machinery, defense, or aerospace industries.
  • In-depth understanding of industry trends, regulatory standards, and the unique challenges associated with mechatronic systems and complex product development.
  • Proven ability to translate technical concepts into business value for customers, with strong communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading technical workshops, crafting solution proposals, and conducting product demonstrations.
  • Fluent in German and English, with excellent communication and presentation skills tailored to high-level industry professionals.
  • Preferably previous experience in pre-sales, technical consulting, or as a solutions engineer/architect, particularly in the aforementioned industries.
  • Preferably understanding of SaaS architecture, deployment, and integration.
