Presales Engineer

Your mission will be:
- Identify and Evaluate Opportunities: Discover and assess new business opportunities to develop focused presentations of our solutions for both new and existing customers. This includes understanding the customer's current infrastructure, performing a gap analysis, and providing a technical description of the opportunity and the proposed solution.
- Tailored Solution Demonstrations: Prepare and deliver customized solution demonstrations that emphasize the competitive advantages of our offerings.
- Proof of Concepts: Organize and support Proof of Concepts (PoCs) when necessary to validate the proposed solutions.
- Customer Proposals: Contribute to the development of customer proposals, which involves designing and pricing the solution and the implementation projects. This also includes leading and coordinating responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Post-Demo Customer Engagement: Maintain post-demonstration discussions with customers to provide clarifications and consulting related to the proposed optimal solution.
- Knowledge Transfer: After the conclusion of a deal, organize the transfer of customer and deal-specific knowledge to Systemic's Customer Success unit.
- Market and Competition Research: Conduct ongoing market and competition research, presenting the findings to Systemic's management committee for strategic purposes.
- Content Development: Create various forms of content, including articles and case studies, to support marketing and sales efforts.
Requirements
Educational Background:
- Βachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Αdvanced degree (M.Sc. or MBA) in Finance, Financial Mathematics/Engineering, or a relevant field.
Professional Experience:
- Five years experience in the financial services industry, particularly in investment management, fund administration, or wealth management.
- Prior experience in a presales, consulting, or client-facing role within a software company is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of financial software systems, including their models and calculations.
- Ability to conduct technical presentations and demonstrations.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and project management methodologies.
Financial Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of financial markets, instruments, and products.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards affecting financial institutions (e.g., UCITS, AIFMD, Solvency II, MiFID, Basel).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Commercial acumen and the ability to identify business opportunities.
Certifications:
- Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or similar are considered a plus.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and presentations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
