Job Title: Pre-Sales Engineer / Field Application Engineer (Semiconductor Industry)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Application Engineer (FAE) to join our dynamic team in the semiconductor industry. In this role, you will provide critical technical expertise to support our customers, ensuring seamless integration of our products into their designs. As a bridge between engineering, sales teams, and customers, you will play a key role in driving customer success and fostering strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, providing expertise in [specific semiconductor products/technologies such as power semiconductors, microcontrollers, etc.].
  • Understand customer requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions aligned with our product capabilities.
  • Support customers throughout product evaluation, design-in, and troubleshooting processes to ensure successful implementation and deployment.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training sessions for customers and partners.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including R&D, Sales, and Marketing, to address customer needs and influence product development.
  • Collect and relay customer feedback and market trends to the product development team to inform future innovations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including application notes, datasheets, and design guides.
  • Support pre-sales and post-sales activities to meet business objectives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry in a Pre-Sales Engineer, Field Application Engineer (FAE), or similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of [specific technologies such as analog/digital circuits, power electronics, embedded systems, etc.].
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required (30-50% travel).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Sales Engineer Experience with home appliance manufacturing industry
  • Familiarity with tools such as SPICE, MATLAB, PCB layout software, or other related software/hardware platforms.
