Position Summary

The Highmark Senior Living Regional Director of Sales is responsible for developing and overseeing short and long-term sales strategies aimed at achieving and exceeding occupancy and revenue targets across the region. This leadership role involves directly overseeing the Community Relations Directors, collaborating closely with community leadership teams to ensure effective team alignment and measurable outcomes.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive regional sales plan that aligns with the organization's overall business objectives.  
  • Analyze market trends, competition, and demographic data to identify opportunities for growth.  
  • Set clear sales targets and goals for each community within the region and ensure consistent achievement of these targets.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.  
  • Provide ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities to enhance team members' skills and effectiveness.  
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans as needed.

Market and Community Engagement

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and other potential partners.  
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote the brand and generate leads.  
  • Work closely with marketing teams to develop and execute local marketing campaigns that drive awareness and interest in the communities.

Sales Operations

  • Monitor and report on sales activities and performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior leadership.  
  • Ensure all sales processes and activities are compliant with regulatory requirements and company policies.  
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of a robust sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and conversion of leads.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Implement and manage effective CRM systems to track leads, manage customer interactions, and analyze sales data.  
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.  
  • Gather and utilize customer feedback to improve sales processes and enhance the customer experience.

Budget Management

  • Develop and manage the regional sales budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.  
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize the allocation of sales resources. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.  
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in senior living sales, with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.  
  • Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated experience in managing and developing high-performing sales teams.  
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.  
  • In-depth knowledge of senior living industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.  
  • Experience in strategic planning, budget management, and sales forecasting.  
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales management tools.  
  • Demonstrated proficiency in CRM utilization, reporting, and data analysis.
