Are you a dynamic hospitality sales leader with a passion for creating memorable experiences?

We are seeking a Director of Sales for a full-service hotel in Reston, VA. Join us on this exciting venture, where the focus is delivering a memorable experience for every guest.

Position Overview:

As the Director of Sales, you'll drive the sales strategy for the hotel's rooms, events, and dining outlets, with a focus on maximizing revenue and delivering exceptional service. You’ll lead a dedicated sales team, build strong relationships with both local and national clients, and collaborate with the hotel's leadership to ensure a successful opening and ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement a comprehensive sales plan to meet and exceed revenue goals, targeting corporate, government, group, and leisure markets.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with clients to drive bookings for meetings, banquets, and special events.
  • Hire, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration and success.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, stay ahead of competitive trends, and understand the key drivers for business in the area.
  • Engage in networking events, industry conferences, and community outreach to increase visibility and grow the hotel's market presence.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activity, pipeline development, and performance metrics to ensure goals are met.

Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience in a Director of Sales or similar leadership role within a full-service hotel.
  • Proven success in driving sales growth and revenue, with a focus on delivering an elevated guest experience.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing and motivating a sales team.
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Solid understanding of sales strategies, revenue management, and hotel operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: Up to $140,000 per year
  • Bonus Potential: Paid Quarterly
