Sales of Injection Molding, Extruded Plastics Equipment

This Director of Sales will Manage Sales of Manufacturing Equipment such as Injection Molding Machines, Plastic Extrusion Machines and Related Tooling & Molds etc.

​

Our client, a leading global manufacturer of Injection Molding Machines (also Plastic Recycling Equipment), with over $20B in global sales, is seeking a Director of Sales to lead their team and drive new business development - Equipment Sales. Their full range of equipment includes hydraulic, hybrid, and electric injection molding machines, along with plastic recycling machinery such as grinders, shredders, and palletizers.

The Director of Sales will be responsible for leading a team focused on growing business in new markets and developing relationships with OEMs and resin manufacturers.

​

Key responsibilities include:

• Solution selling: Work with customers to understand their challenges and offering tailored equipment solutions for recycling, rather than standard products.
• Development of new business with a focus on injection molding equipment for plastic part manufacturing and / or recycling molding solutions.
• Collaborate with OEMs / Resin manufacturers to integrate equipment for recycled plastics into virgin materials.
• Grow sales through a combination of equipment used in mechanical recycling (shredding plastic materials) and chemical recycling equipment (virgin resin processes).
• Lead associates to meet or exceed sales goals in line with the company’s growth strategy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must have 5+ years of experience in Equipment used in plastics manufacturing - injection molding or plastic extrusion or plastic recycling equipment sectors.
• Must have strong understanding of the plastics recycling industry, resins, and the technical aspects of plastic production.
• Must have Expertise in injection molding machines or plastic extrusion machines and related equipment.
• Proven experience in technical sales / business development with a focus on technical sales solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Chemical Engineering, or Polymer Engineering.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to manage customer relationships and drive sales programs.
