Job Purpose

To build and be recognized as a World Class Sales and Marketing Organization that successfully executes against our budgets, business strategies and G&I laneways. Work closely with the LP businesses to create and execute regional growth strategies, sales and marketing plans that align with our business goals and exceed market rates of growth. Build, lead and managed an “A” player regional field sales and field marketing structure that is accountable for obtaining both top line and bottom line regional sales and marketing budgets.

In This Position You Will Have The Opportunity To

  • Collaborate with all business to develop annual operating budgets (expected volumes, pricing, revenue and EBITDA) targets
  • Develop strategic sales plans inclusive of marketing, pricing, and route to market tactics. Drive sales growth rooted in demand creation that exceeds market returns and focus on value added product lines.
  • Influence & execute future company product & commercial innovation.
  • Manage, coach, train, mentor and if necessary, hire General Sales Managers, Business Development Manager, National Account Managers, and Territory Sales Managers
  • Translate corporate branding and marketing strategies in ways that are relevant to local & region dynamics
  • Provide leadership and direction to effectively execute multiple business marketing efforts in local markets including guidance on prioritization for tactical campaigns and event-based marketing.
  • Strengthen our culture of employee improvement, teamwork and internal communication through implementation of corporate efforts that respond to employment survey results.
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasting of sales, volume and product mix.
  • Own and execute against 1-2 key initiatives annually such as CRM improvements, training and succession planning, route to market, pricing & programming, etc.…
  • Provide external perspective into financial & new product plans
  • Responsible for the evaluation of the relationship, strategic alignment and program support for key multi regional customers.
  • Simplify complexity and wire the organization for full optimization of efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations including other duties as necessary.
  • Assigned Geography: Southern Half of US (TX to Carolinas)

  • Ability to lead, coach and manage a team. Proven track record of strong human resource management skills including recruiting, performance management, and development of top performing sales and marketing teams and associates.
  • Has demonstrated the ability to develop business plans and put forth a vision that complies with the organization, but charters the waters for sales growth and innovation.
  • Can think strategically and 2 to 3 moves ahead, able to anticipate and proactively obstacles to growth or achieving corporate goals.
  • Must be able to build and work in teams and rally internal support on key initiatives.
  • Ability to present effectively at the senior management level of any organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies, overseeing campaigns and measuring results
  • Is able to think creatively in developing plans, value propositions and in crafting solutions.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills that generate win win outcomes and value based beyond price.
  • Thorough knowledge of sales channels and of multiple supply chain models.
  • Strong management skills – core discipline processes that allows them to monitor, coordinate, coach and execute against a plan and budget.
  • Experienced in developing forecasts, budgets, business cases and value propositions.
  • General understanding of basic building practices especially where LP products are involved.
  • Must have strong resolve to make difficult decisions that are good for the organization.
  • Computer proficiency using industry software.

Work Experience

  • 10 years of related experience, including 5 years of people management. 
  • Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing.

Work Environment

  • Home office with frequent travel throughout assigned geography (>50%)
