They sell into education publishers, universities, media houses, and government to drive innovation, improve operational efficiency, and enhance user experiences through cutting-edge technology solutions.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an Senior Director - Sales to drive revenue growth by acquiring and managing strategic accounts in the education, publishers, media, and government sectors. The ideal candidate will have experience in IT services sales, a strong understanding of industry challenges, and a proven track record of selling to decision-makers in publishing, higher education, media organizations, or public sector institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Development: Identify, prospect, and secure new clients in the education, media, and government sectors for IT services, including software development, cloud solutions, and managed services.
- Solution Selling: Consult with clients to understand their business needs and recommend tailored IT solutions, including digital transformation, AI/ML solutions, ERP & LMS integrations, and cloud migration.
- Account Management: Develop long-term relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and expansion of services.
- Sales Strategy & Pipeline Management: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, leveraging industry insights and data-driven approaches.
- RFPs & Government Contracts: Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and tenders for government and institutional clients, working closely with the pre-sales and proposal teams.
- Collaboration: Work with internal teams, including engineering, project management, and marketing, to align service offerings with client needs.
- Industry Engagement: Attend industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities to establish thought leadership and brand visibility.
Key Requirements:
- 12-18 years of experience in IT services sales, preferably selling to education publishers, universities, media companies, or government agencies.
- Proven track record of closing mid-to-large enterprise deals in IT outsourcing, software development, or cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation trends, AI/ML solutions, ERP, cloud computing, and content management technologies.
- Experience managing long sales cycles and complex stakeholder ecosystems.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
