About the Opportunity

WOLF is looking for a full-time Senior Field Application Engineer, Technical Sales based in the USA (remote).

Reporting to the VP, Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in providing pre-sales technical support and driving sales growth for WOLF’s advanced technology solutions.

In this position, you will be primarily responsible for managing client relationships, providing technical expertise, and supporting the sales team throughout the sales cycle.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing pre-sales technical support to prospective clients
  • Supporting the sales team with customer conference calls
  • Managing clients from support through the sales cycle to closed business
  • Meeting tight deadlines to respond to customer requests professionally and timely
  • Understanding end-user applications and associated technology requirements
  • Creating detailed proposals and written documentation
  • Identifying potential customers and creating new accounts
  • Preparing cost estimates by studying Bill of Materials (BOM) plans and related documents
  • Contributing to CRM and forecast by completing pipeline, data entry, and lead management
  • Consulting directly with customers in all phases of the sales and account management life cycle
  • Attending trade shows and conferences as a representative of WOLF to promote products

About You

To qualify, you will need 5+ years of proven sales or technical support experience, Ideally in the Embedded Solutions Market, and 5+ years of proven engineering experience, with a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field such as mechanical, electrical, software, or aerospace. You must also have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

WOLF is a military and aerospace manufacturer requiring strict adherence to CGP and ITAR requirements. As a condition of employment Applicants must be able to provide valid documentation to show US citizenship and undergo a police check with no criminal background.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Proficiency in reading datasheets and understanding requirements
  • Capability to troubleshoot hardware and software-related problems
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Familiarity with XMC, VPX, NVIDIA, OpenVPX, FPGA, AMD, PCIe, GPU, and other relevant standards
  • Knowledge of SOSA, CMOSS, VICTORY, and similar standards
  • Developed engineering experience in the military/defense/aerospace (asset)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Established contacts and relationships within the defense and aerospace industries
  • Background in graphics (asset)
  • Military service, Secret certification, and/or security clearance (assets)
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed
