Job Description & Essential Functions of the Senior Sales Engineer

Job Description:

The Senior Sales Engineer must have LED industry and market knowledge and be able to effectively communicate the Company’s brand and product value in such a way as to elicit a favorable reaction from the target customer.

Essential Functions:

  • Meets the sales revenue target for the assigned region.
  • Support channel managers to develop relationships with current and potential clients.
  • Makes accurate sales calculations and sales quotations of current prices.
  • Must have technical skills, and the ability to understand LED products and parts. Answer technical questions and work on the design and solutions for projects.
  • Has great presentation skills and can effectively sell the product to a customer through presentations, tours, and showing them the product.
  • Must have excellent communication skills. Makes regular phone calls and emails to customers.
  • Assist with getting clients to participate in ACE training.
  • Works with the Customer Service department to help facilitate DEMO Requests.
  • Works with the Warehouse department to ensure products are shipped to clients on time.
  • Updates and maintains accounts of customers including contact names and numbers for future sales.
  • Follows up with clients on orders, payments, and delivery. Track the process from start to finish.
  • Must be persistent and disciplined in all work.
  • Able to handle fast pace and high volume of activity.
  • Maintains professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company positively.
  • Reports to and works with the corresponding Sales Manager or Director.
  • Performs all other duties assigned to them of which the employee is capable of performing.

  • Ability to maintain and develop relationships with current clients.

  • Ability to identify the wants and needs of target customers.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above with a major in Engineering, Business Administration, or Business Management.
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales, engineering or project management background in the LED display industry is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs consecutively.

Work Location:

  • Remote, Absen facilities as needed.

Travel Requirements:

  • May be required to travel throughout the year for business meetings, trade shows, training, demos, and other business-related events.
  • Must have a valid drivers’ license.

Compensation range:

  • Our total compensation range with sales commission/bonus opportunity for this position is $90k to 120K, depending on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
