Solutions Architect, Lead

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Solutions Architect to join our team. This role is crucial for driving our enterprise architecture initiatives, focusing on capturing client requirements, designing robust solutions, writing compelling proposals, and creating prototypes. The ideal candidate will also provide governance to ensure our solutions align with best practices and client needs. You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in solution architecture with a focus on enterprise solutions
  • 5+ years of experience in engaging with clients to understand their business requirements and technical needs
  • Experience with designing and implementing solutions using a variety of technologies to meet client requirements
  • Experience with cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and best practices
  • Ability to display a track record in presales and capture management with successful proposal writing and bid wins, collaborate with multiple teams to gather necessary information, and craft proposals that highlight our strengths and unique value propositions
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, design governance frameworks to ensure solutions adhere to best practices and compliance standards, and develop and deliver prototypes to demonstrate the feasibility and value of proposed solutions
  • Ability to think critically and strategically and mentor and advise junior team members on delivery teams about best practices in architecture and governance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Federal Government regulations, compliance and system authorization
  • Experience with FedRAMP or TIC 2.2/3.0
  • Experience with HHS or VA preferred
  • Experience with moving data, designing data structures, using different databases and Big Data, creating data models, machine learning, combining data, ETL tools, and finding patterns in data
  • Knowledge of open systems architecture standards, the OSI and ISO reference models, and standards profiles
  • Knowledge of Agile project management in Jira and Confluence, how networks and routers work, and how to connect different systems and platforms using APIs and other methods
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possession of excellent problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; Master's degree a plus
  • TOGAF, ITIL, Azure, or AWS Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
