Solutions Architect/Systems Engineer w/Government Contract Bid and Execution Experience
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with a strong background in government contract bidding and execution. This individual will play a crucial role in identifying and securing new business opportunities, leveraging existing government department contacts, and assisting with project execution for both government and private sector staff augmentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the bidding process for government contracts, including RFP responses, proposal writing, and contract execution.
- Leverage established contacts within various government departments to initiate bidding on new opportunities.
- Work with internal teams to ensure compliance with government regulations and project requirements.
- Provide IT consulting and systems engineering support for both government and private sector clients.
- Focus on Identity and Access Management (IAM) projects, though this is not a strict requirement; general IT knowledge and problem-solving abilities are key.
- Deliver technical expertise and support to private sector clients on staff augmentation projects, for which you will be compensated at a higher rate.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience in government contract bid preparation and execution.
- Strong network and relationships with government departments and decision-makers to help secure contract opportunities.
- Expertise in Identity and Access Management is preferred, but not required.
- Broad IT background, including systems engineering, IT infrastructure, networking, cloud services, etc.
- Ability to support both government and private sector projects, with an understanding of each sector's unique needs.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset to drive business development.
- Previous experience in staff augmentation for the private sector is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
Compensation:
- Competitive pay based on experience.
- Additional pay for private sector contracts (staff augmentation).
- Flexible working hours with both part-time and full-time options available.
