Job Description

​

insightsoftware is seeking a Solutions Engineer reporting to the Director of Solutions Engineering. This position will handle product demonstrations, pre-sales support and partner enablement for our Data & Analytics business unit. You have strong executive presence and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will have a solid technical understanding of web application development, database technologies, and multiple self-service BI tools. Candidate will have an ability to write SQL based queries and reports and have advanced Microsoft Excel skills. You should have a consulting mindset and experience mapping customer requirements to software solutions. This is a remote based role.

Primary Responsibilities

​

​

• Assist Sales Executives in the technical qualification of new sales opportunities, understand customer requirements and articulate our value proposition to senior technology executives
• Act as primary technical point-of-contact during sales process, implementation, and transition to post-sales support
• Deliver online and in person product demonstrations
• Develop prototypes for prospects using our software in conjunction with web and data tier technologies
• Work closely with prospects to plan and conduct thorough technical evaluations and "proof of concept" demonstrations.
• Work closely with Product Management to prioritize customer enhancement requests and to plan and to contribute to future product release.

Qualifications

​

​

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent industry experience
• Strong understanding of web application development and modern data tier technologies
• Experience with databases such as Mongo, Redshift, MySQL, Oracle, Snowflake
• 3+ years experience with self service BI tools such as Power BI and Qlik
• Ability to write SQL based queries

Preferred Qualifications

​

​

• Experience supporting a software platform/product in a customer-facing B2B environment
• Experience with Rest APIs
• Experience with HTML and JavaScript/frameworks
• A solid technical understanding of multiple Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to speak Spanish
