Job Description;

Solutions Engineer will be assisting Dealers, Consultants, Enterprise Partners, and Crestron Sales Teams with the development of comprehensive technical offerings of custom AV design proposals, competitive-analyses, submittals, system design drawings, and catalogs that will assist in conveying the value-proposition and differentiation of a Crestron solutions within the Commercial & Residential markets.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Create product related technical/sales strategies that make our products and services more desirable to customers when compared to competitors.
  • Requires advanced technical product knowledge relative to Crestron and competitors, and advanced knowledge of Unified-Collaboration, IT/Cloud, and intelligent building-technology system design.
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey the resulting insights and strategies to the sales-team and customers (via RFI/RFP Submittals, Design/Application Guides, Catalogs, Competitive Analyses/Comparison, Application drawings and diagrams).
  • Participate in strategic planning session for evaluation of customer/project specific solutions.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as liaise with other subject matter experts, including members of the Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams.
  • Developing Crestron systems for AV & Unified Communications designs and solutions based on project specifications, drawings and/or functional requirements.
  • Supporting the Enterprise Sales Team with the development of hardware and service proposals.
  • Assisting in the creation and development of competitive product comparisons and sales tools.
  • Work with sales teams to identify, validate and develop Crestron Unified Communications strategic solutions for sales opportunities.
  • Perform technical sales research in relation to competitor products.
  • Combine research and analytical skills to gain intelligence about competitors/products.
  • Investigate competitor products and business strategies.
  • Studying competitors’ product offerings, roadmaps, and strategies.
  • Computer aptitude.
  • Microsoft O/M365, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Knowledge of Visio & AutoCAD.
  • 4-6 years related job experience within similar Technical Industry.
  • Preferred Certifications/Qualifications (in addition to Bachelor’s Degree):
  • Knowledge and proficiency with Network Teleconferencing and Unified Communication solutions and design.
  • Professional design level knowledge on Streaming AV solutions.
  • Knowledge regarding design and integration of Commercial Building Technology Systems: A/V, UC/VC, IT, security, scheduling, BMS.
  • Experience with creating written technical-sales or marketing documentation for commercial enterprise unified collaboration, audio/video conferencing, control/automation system solutions.
  • Network+, CCENT or CCNA certifications a plus.
  • CTS or CTS-D certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with 3rd party Unified Communications Systems such as Zoom, Cisco, Logitech, Poly, etc.
