Job Description

​

• Support Business Development in winning new business by supporting the identification and costing of effective and timely warehousing and distribution solutions for industry; Technology, Automotive, Retail, FMCG, Ecommerce, Cold Chain, Chemical and Industrial verticals  
• Lead or support the design of supply chain solutions from large scale (geographical optimization) down to small scale (design of processes and lines/stations) as part of the RFQ process  
• Lead or support in the development of concepts for use in formal customer proposals including, but not limited to, process flow diagrams, KPIs and facility layouts in complex cases with support of Engineering team, automation practice and simulation outputs  
• Provide leadership for Junior Engineers on projects and delegate workload accordingly in conjunction with Team Lead

Key Accountabilities

​

• Deputise for Team Lead and provide management to Junior Engineers within the department  
• Lead the design of supply chain solutions from large scale (geographical optimization) down to small scale (design of processes and lines/stations) as part of RFQ process  
• Lead or support in the development of concepts for use in formal customer proposals including, but not limited to, process flow diagrams, KPIs and facility layouts in complex cases with support of Engineering team  
• Work closely with Business Development/Account Management, Launch and Operational teams as part of the solution development process along with key departments such as Procurement, HR, IT and Security  
• Lead the presenting of technical solutions to customers through proposals, conference calls and presentations in conjunction with account management and the RFQ support groups  
• Develop sold RFQ concepts into fully detailed designs post award as part of the launch process  
• Actively support and when required lead the delivery of the engineering elements of new business launch including the creation of master data, process validation, infrastructure works, onboarding of plant teams and onsite contractor management  
• Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies

Qualifications

​

• Educated to degree level in a related discipline or have appropriate work experience  
• Lean and Six Sigma practitioner   
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels   
• Ability to empathise and understand client’s viewpoint and requirements and act as their champion within engineering function  
• Ability to interpret data and derive solid conclusions from analysis  
• Highly developed computer skills, including Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables and familiarity with common formulas), Word, Visio or equivalent, and Project Management software are required. Proficient in using AutoCAD to design functional workings of solutions in 3D and 2D formats along with other appropriate software tools  
• Project management exposure and operational experience  
• Change management skills

Annual Salary Range

• $72,600-$113,500 USD

​

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
