Hours:
Monday – Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week
Summary of Duties:
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical support issues impacting global customers. Facilitate escalations and drive effective follow-up with Development & Engineering teams on highly complicated incidents. Own relationships with customers and serve as technical point of contact during issue resolution. Drive process improvement and increase knowledge sharing within the organization. Train technical support team members to handle recurring issues. Develop and maintain effective troubleshooting flows for customers and fellow support personnel. In the course of their duties, the Engineer may work with internally developed software requiring the review of developed code and assessing its performance and stability in the production environment. These actions may involve partnering with engineering in the development and testing of replacement code to address an identified issue. The Engineer may work with externally developed commercial software used in the delivery of Enlighted solutions requiring the assessment of its performance and stability in the production environment. The engineer will perform forensic triage to identify the source of the issue. 100% remote work permitted.
Qualifications:
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered, DevOps Engineer, Technical Consultant, Support Engineer or an acceptable alternate occupation. Employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, DevOps Engineer, Technical Consultant, Support Engineer or an acceptable alternate occupation. The position also requires experience with the following: experience with Linux; networking knowledge; understanding of wireless networking (802.11, 802.15.4) concepts, networks configuration, and troubleshooting; experience with Cloud Infrastructure technologies: HTML, java script, Java, application servers, modern REST APIs; UNIX/Linux shell scripting; experience with VMWare and enterprise and cloud virtualization; SQL query language and relational database systems; Experience with IoT, Workplace Experience Technology , or Building Technologies.
