Team Overview

Do you thrive at the intersection of technology and client sales engagement in the fast-paced FinTech SaaS industry? At EquiLend, we’re seeking a skilled Solutions Engineer in New York to play a critical role in representing our cutting-edge products and services to prospective customers.

As a trusted partner to prospective customers and a key collaborator within the sales and product teams, you’ll help design and deliver tailored solutions for some of the most prominent organizations in the financial services sector.

Your ability to build relationships, articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences, and drive successful client outcomes will make you a vital part of our team.

Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales teams to uncover client needs, leading discovery sessions and developing customized technical solutions that align with their business objectives.  
  • Deliver engaging, high-impact technical presentations and live demonstrations, effectively communicating complex ideas to senior executives and other stakeholders.  
  • Manage the execution of Proof of Concept (PoC) projects, working cross-functionally with internal teams and clients to deliver successful results on time and within scope.  
  • Prepare detailed and accurate responses for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring technical precision and a clear articulation of value.  
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor for clients, building strong, long-lasting relationships and serving as a go-to expert for their solution needs.  
  • Collaborate closely with product management and development teams to ensure client feedback informs future product enhancements and innovations.  
  • Provide strategic insights and technical expertise to support sales strategies and identify opportunities for growth within the client portfolio.  
  • Maintain a deep understanding of EquiLend’s product suite and market trends to position solutions effectively and differentiate them from competitors.  

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in a client-facing technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role within the FinTech SaaS industry.  
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear, persuasive manner.  
  • Proven expertise in delivering client presentations and product demonstrations to senior-level executives and decision-makers.  
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a consultative approach to addressing client challenges and identifying opportunities for improvement.  
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives such as Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and technical evaluations.  
  • Proactive relationship management skills, with a focus on building trust and credibility as a technical expert and partner.  
  • Collaborative mindset, with experience working effectively across sales, product, and technical teams to deliver results.  
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation Range: The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 plus an attractive bonus opportunity. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
