The required location for this position is Orlando, FL area or in close proximity to Orlando within Florida.

The role has minimal travel other than local customer and site visits to Disney (at least 3 times per week), workshops, project specific onsite dependencies and internal Cisco account planning. Estimated travel is minimal but customer onsite visits are required.

Who You’ll Work With

As a Solutions Engineer, you’ll partner with our Account Manager in a pre-sales technical role on the Disney Sales Engineering and account team. You’ll join our WEB team and be a part of Cisco’s Service Provider sales organization and focus on Media and Gaming segment.

What You’ll Do

The SE will showcase Cisco products and solutions, lead RFP response(s), set up demonstrations, explain features and benefits to customers and design and configure products to meet specific customer requirements.

You’ll gain access to the broad palette of Cisco technologies and applications in the Service Provider market.

Keep up to date on relevant competitive solutions, products, and services. Provide technical and sales support for the Disney account within America’s Service Providers segment. Provide technical presentations for customers, partners, and prospects. Assist with the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities.

Who You Are

You are an expert pre-sales solutions engineer with a generalist Enterprise/IT, Service Provider Networking and Datacenter focus

In addition to technological proficiency and the ability to learn quickly and stay current, your interpersonal, presentation, and troubleshooting skills evoke passion and confidence.

Technical Skill Requirements:

  • Understand Cisco Enterprise and Service Provider portfolio, architectures, solutions, platforms and capabilities. Everything from Core/Edge Networking to WiFi, SDWAN, Datacenter and IoT is covered in this role.  
  • Software knowledge as well as API enablement and Programmability.  
  • In-depth understanding of Layer 1-3 concepts and technologies, TCP/IP Routing and Switching, Industry standards and trends, Design and Architecture.  
  • Validated experience, including the ability to get “your hands dirty” with lab Proof of Concept(s), Trials, and leading others such as CX and BU for such activity.  
  • Have product knowledge in sophisticated technologies either for Cisco Product or Cisco Competitor products.  
  • Capabilities in crafting end to end large sophisticated networks to meet Service Providers requirements.  

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of related pre-sales experience with Cisco product experience or relevant experience in key competitor offerings in the technology area of emphasis

Pre-Sales Experience Required In Service Provider.

BS/BA or equivalent experience (Electrical Engineering/Computer Science).

Preferred Qualifications

CCIE certification is preferred but not required.

Not only pre-sales expertise but a background and proven knowledge of CLI level troubleshooting, testing on behalf of the customer and pre-staging of new features and capabilities across net platforms or services.

Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and strong presentation skills.

Ability to work effectively and contribute as a team member. Demonstrated technical knowledge and consultative skills.

Strong problem-solving skills: ability to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action.

Capabilities to work with various non-technical groups (finance, legal, post-sales).

Can work under minimum supervision and under pressure.

Self-motivated, fast learner and has initiative.

Capability to lead a group of people with various technical backgrounds.

Critical thinking to address customer concerns and to support customer business growth.
