The Development Strategic Implementation Leader (SIL), Manager, will shape the processes, people and portfolio within Immunology Development. The role will be accountable for effectively leading and delivering in three key focus areas: budgetary management, communication and organizational infrastructure with key focus on budgetary management. The Development SIL Manager will be the single point accountable for leading Development budget strategic planning and execution including late development, translational medicine and translational science. The successful candidate will have strong communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the translational science Development leaders to provide effective analyses and proposals for portfolio and cultural decision making. The Development SIL, Manager will sit within the Immunology Portfolio & Asset Management group and be a member of the Development Operational Team reporting to the TSM Development SIL.

Essential functions:

  •  Leads and coordinates all elements of Development budgetary management including TS IDP oversite and external functional spending. In partnership with Outsourcing lead drives triaging of contract activity to ensure synthesis of trade-offs/options to enable Development strategic and budgetary planning (OOPs, Cap Ex, Functional budget and Headcount tracking).
  •  In partnership with LD and TSM SIL, leads and maintains Development Onboarding/Hiring/Training & Compliance activities.
  •  In collaboration with Late Development and TSM SIL, drives Development activities to support Development culture (including Town Halls, special initiatives, etc.)
  •  Serve as a change agent and drive strategic initiatives to progress the Development organization.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  •  Ideal candidate would have a B.S. degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience, a masters degree with a minimum of 3 years experience or a PhD with a minimum of 2 year experience.
  •  Experience managing budgets is strongly preferred.
  •  Experience in drug development with a scientific background is strongly preferred.
  •  Demonstrated ability to function as a leader on matrix teams required.
  •  Project management and excellent organization skills with the ability to manage projects with many stakeholders and to process and analyze details within the context of higher strategic frameworks.
  •  Excellent communication skills (ability to communicate effectively across functions where a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with scientists is critical).
  •  Highly proficient in basic IT platforms (SharePoint, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  •  Collaboration and Teaming – puts interests of enterprise above own; works well across functions and groups; works with Development leaders and teams effectively; instills a One Team mindset; champions best practices.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 99,000 to 170,200.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. The compensation and benefits information set forth in this posting applies to candidates hired in the United States. Candidates hired outside the United States will be eligible for compensation and benefits in accordance with their local market.
