We are seeking a strategic and dynamic VP of Sales for our client Rutronik. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned leader with a background in electronic component distribution and a proven track record in sales and people management.

In North America, Rutronik Inc. serves customers in the U.S. and Mexico, with headquarters in Coral Springs, FL, and a regional office in Detroit, MI. The U.S. team focuses on sales, technical consulting, logistics, and customer support to drive business growth.

Position Overview:

The VP Sales – North America will lead U.S. and Mexican operations, reporting directly to the Global CSO. This role is responsible for sales strategy, market expansion, and team development while scaling the U.S. business. It oversees sales and all operations to drive growth and operational excellence.

The VP will have full P&L responsibility for the North American region, drive new customer acquisition, and lead long-term revenue growth in a highly competitive industry. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring someone who can motivate, train, and develop the sales organization while managing strategic accounts and supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage P&L for North America, ensuring revenue growth, profitability, and KPI achievement.
  • Scale and stabilize the U.S. sales team, building a high-performing, long-term structure.
  • Develop and execute a customer acquisition strategy, identifying and engaging high-potential customers.
  • Work with supply chain & logistics to optimize order fulfillment and inventory management.
  • Drive direct sales growth while optimizing relationships with sales reps and distribution partners.
  • Manage key accounts directly, ensuring strong customer relationships.
  • Define and strengthen Rutronik’s USP to increase competitiveness in the North American market.
  • Align regional and global strategies by working closely with German HQ leadership.
  • Optimize sales processes and CRM/ERP utilization for better forecasting and customer management.
  • Be a leader and role model, fostering a team-oriented, high-performance culture.
  • Assess, develop, and mentor team members to enhance skills, drive engagement, and ensure long-term retention.

Your Profile:

  • Proven sales leadership experience, with a strong background in sales strategy, team building, and financial acumen.
  • Strong sales, client management, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in the electronic component distribution industry, with a strong understanding of market dynamics.
  • Preferred background in electrical engineering.
  • A hands-on leader with the ability to influence, align, and mentor teams effectively.
  • Proven ability to drive new customer acquisition and define Rutronik’s unique competitive advantage.
  • A global mindset, adaptable to diverse mentalities and personalities.
