A leading company in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry is seeking a VP of Sales to drive growth in the medical devices segment. This role is for an experienced sales leader with a proven track record in expanding market share and managing high-performing teams. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both testing and certification services for medical devices, with in-depth knowledge of MDR, ISO 13485, and desirable experience with MDSAP, IVDR, and MDD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Sales Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to grow the medical devices business by leveraging a full range of TIC services, including product testing (e.g., biocompatibility, electrical safety, performance) and certification (e.g., MDR, ISO 13485).
  • Expand Market Presence: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities by promoting comprehensive TIC services that meet regulatory standards such as MDR and ISO 13485.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with medical device manufacturers, offering tailored testing and certification solutions to meet both regulatory requirements and market needs.
  • Drive Compliance & Innovation: Stay current with trends in testing and regulatory compliance, including advancements in connected devices, cybersecurity, and sustainability, positioning the company as a leader in the medical devices TIC market.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8+ years in sales leadership, with 5+ years specifically in the TIC medical devices vertical. Proven expertise in selling both testing (biocompatibility, electrical safety) and certification services (MDR, ISO 13485) to medical device companies.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of medical device regulations, especially MDR and ISO 13485, with additional experience in MDSAP, IVDR, and MDD being a strong advantage.
  • Proven Success: A history of driving revenue growth and expanding market share by providing comprehensive TIC solutions that span both testing and certification services.
  • Team Leadership: Strong track record in leading high-performing sales teams within regulated, competitive markets.
