The role:

​

The Vice President (VP), Enterprise Sales - Title is a new executive level position reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), responsible for new business development for Selene Title. This includes, but is not limited to, formulating business development strategies that materially increase the client base for our Title business. This role will work collaboratively with Title Operations, IT, Client Management, Marketing and other departments to successfully win and onboard new clients with a focus on building the most successful Title business within the industry.

How you will contribute:

Vision and Direction

​

  • Influence business vision and direction based on client needs
  • Partner with EVP, Business Development, and senior leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvements; foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the sales organizations efficient operation and success
  • Identify and validate new industry verticals and market opportunities

​

Sales and Revenue Growth

​

  • Responsible for developing a strategic plan to drive sustained and continuous sales growth
  • Establish a best-in-class national sales and business development plan reflective of Selene’s culture and values
  • End-to-end responsibility for designing and executing the strategic sales plan for securing new clients, including but not limited to prospect targeting, engagement, proposal development, negotiation, closing, and post-closing participation in ongoing account management in partnership with Client Management
  • Research and drive business expansion/collaboration opportunities across all enterprise businesses in partnership with other Enterprise Sales leaders
  • Build a predictable pipeline of new business to generate repeatable and profitable revenue
  • Execute go-to market plans via targeted campaigns and other sales channels including advisors, influencers, conferences attendance, industry events/shows, etc.
  • Manage planning, reporting, quota setting and management, budgets, forecasts to achieve sales, CRM data quality, and sales process optimization
  • Directs sales force effectiveness and manages functions essential to sales force productivity and/or account portfolio management

Communication & Industry Awareness 

​

  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a specific focus on actively listening to understand and articulate the customer need(s)
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings, conferences, events, and internal company functions to aid business development
  • Partner closely with Selene operational teams to ensure that the scope of work being sold can be effectively executed according to client needs
  • Acutely aware of industry trends; maintains awareness of current intelligence and actively shares information with business leaders, peers, and subordinates in service of the client and Selene

Skills you will bring:

​

  • High School degree or GED; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 7-10 years’ experience in title insurance with progressively responsible sales leadership roles
  • Experience in working with large financial institutions resulting in bringing on new Bulk and Flow title orders for the SFR, Build to Rent (BTR), Multi Family, Commercial, Origination, and Default market segments
  • Experience in working with SFR holding companies resulting in bringing on new SFR related transactions, i.e. securitizations, financings, acquisitions/dispositions, and transfers
  • Demonstrated track record of building successful, positive, influential relationships cross-functionally and across multiple companies and/or business lines that result in new business growth
  • Executive presence
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to analyze problems and provide appropriate solutions that reflect good judgment
  • Ability to influence and drive revenue and positive business growth
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, handle competing priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Current knowledge and understanding of industry from both a title and client perspective
  • Understanding of RESPA and state-specific marketing regulations
  • A high level of confidentiality to protect privacy rights
  • Effective as a team player with a strong sense of professionalism and positivity; the ability to work effectively with diverse groups demonstrating effective interpersonal skills to cope with difficult personalities
  • Ability to consistently produce quality work with a high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, attract, and retain talent (unsure this is necessary); ability to interact and develop rapport with all levels of associates and establish credibility
