Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to take ownership of driving new business and revenue growth for this EV charging solutions provider. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with a "hunter" mentality who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving industry. As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for prospecting, securing new clients, and developing strategic partnerships to expand the company’s market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Generation: Proactively seek out and develop new business opportunities with a focus on enterprise clients, municipalities, and commercial real estate developers in need of EV charging infrastructure.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent outreach, engagement, and follow-up with potential clients.
  • Client Acquisition: Identify target markets and lead end-to-end sales cycles, from prospecting to closing, while consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Market Expansion: Stay ahead of industry trends and competitors to capitalize on emerging opportunities in the EV charging space, ensuring the company’s solutions remain competitive and attractive to prospective clients.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Establish and nurture key relationships with stakeholders, such as utility companies, automotive firms, and technology providers, to drive business development and expand the company’s network.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with leadership to develop and refine sales strategies, adjusting approaches based on market feedback and evolving customer needs.
  • Client Retention: Ensure exceptional client experiences by fostering long-term relationships and providing ongoing support and consultation.
  • Team Collaboration and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior sales staff or cross-functional teams as the company grows, helping to foster a high-performance sales culture.
  • Leadership in Sales Strategy: Take a lead role in shaping and refining the overall sales strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and market conditions.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure that client needs are communicated effectively and incorporated into the company's offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the EV Charging industry.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in a "hunter" sales role, with a history of independently driving revenue and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the EV charging ecosystem, including the technological, regulatory, and market dynamics driving demand for charging infrastructure.
  • Sales Acumen: Exceptional ability to build relationships, negotiate deals, and close complex sales with enterprise-level clients.
  • Self-Starter: Highly motivated and results-oriented, capable of working independently to generate leads, manage sales cycles, and meet ambitious targets.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively pitch and present technical solutions to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
