Job Description

The responsibilities of the Director of Sales include overseeing the daily sales activities, meeting with clients, reporting on sales activities, designing effective sales process and strategy, coaching and mentoring salespeople and assisting with the marketing company products and services.

To be successful, the candidate should have excellent leadership skills and the ability to set sales objectives and achieve them. Candidate should have deep knowledge of the oilfield services and power generation markets and competition. The candidate shall demonstrate excellent customer service skills and interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.

Primary functions & responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets and expand the customer base
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships at the highest levels within our customers’ organizations
  • Be a consultant to the customer  
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Understand product-specific landscapes and trends within the oilfield services industry and power generation industry
  • Reporting on market forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
  • Promote company products and services
  • Lead and manage the sales team
  • Organize and maintain sales operations
  • Manage sales budget
  • Develop sales training programs
  • Monitor market and competitor activity
  • Identify where improvements can be made and develop success-driven plans
  • Monitor customer activity and public customer financial reporting
  • Develop sales KPI’s and reporting
  • Participate in weekly Leadership meeting  
  • Attend and represent the Company at trade shows and other public-facing company events
  • Frequent travel to meet customers and sales staff

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in oilfield or industrial equipment sales and sales management
  • Proven sales leadership with senior level sales experience, meeting and exceeding targets
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Strong economic analysis of opportunities
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of the Company’s products and services
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors
  • Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • CRM knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing

Working conditions

  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Noise from ringing telephone and office equipment cannot be avoided.
  • Frequent visits to the shop floor to track progress and host shop tours where typical manufacturing hazards exist

Physical demand

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
