Position Overview:
As a Channel Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in driving channel partner success by providing technical expertise and designing tailored solutions for our partners and customers. You’ll collaborate closely with sales teams, channel partners, and internal teams to design, implement, and deploy cutting-edge IT solutions. You’ll support partner sales efforts, deliver technical guidance, and help ensure the success of both partners and end customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Channel Partner Support: Serve as the primary technical resource for channel partners, assisting them in understanding our products, solutions, and value propositions.
- Solution Engineering: Collaborate with channel partners to design custom solutions that meet client needs and align with business goals. Lead the creation of high-level architecture diagrams, statements of work, and project plans for complex deployments.
- Consultative Selling: Work closely with channel partners to perform technical discovery, identify customer requirements, and propose solutions that leverage the company’s full range of products and services.
- Channel Enablement: Support the channel team by delivering training, providing technical presentations, and helping to develop collateral to empower partners to sell effectively.
- Customer Engagement: Travel across the Midwest and Southeast to engage with partners and clients in customer-facing interactions, helping with sales presentations and technical discussions during the sales process.
- Solution Design & Delivery: Design and document technical solutions for channel partners, assist with quoting and ensure smooth transitions from pre-sales to post-sales.
- Technical Marketing: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, providing key technical insights to internal teams and sharing knowledge with channel partners.
Key Qualifications:
- Channel Sales Engineering Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in a channel-focused sales engineering role, supporting partner relationships and driving technical sales in collaboration with channel partners.
- Technical Experience: Required Technical Skills: Must have strong IT industry experience. Hands-on Experience in three or more of the following technologies: Backup & Recovery, Disaster Recovery, IT System Administration, IP Networking (within a large-scale multi-tenant service provider preferred but not required), Information Security, Virtualization. Hands on experience with enterprise and service provider cloud platforms, such as Nutanix AHV and VMware Cloud Director. Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform a plus

- Technical Discovery Skills: Strong aptitude for performing technical discovery to understand customer needs, and design effective solutions.
- Ability to Articulate Technical Value: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into value propositions that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences, particularly in partner sales contexts.
- Presentation Skills: Strong presentation skills, with experience delivering technical presentations to partners, customers, and large groups.
- Networking Skills: In addition to data center and cloud expertise, networking knowledge is a plus, especially in multi-tenant or enterprise environments.

- Preferred Certifications: VMWare Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)/ Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) equivalent certifications
