Job Title: Sales Director

Location: Remote (US Based)

Compensation:

 Base salary range of $140,000 - $170,000 plus commission.

Role Overview:

As the Sales Director, you will play a key role in driving the company’s revenue growth by selling the online learning platform to businesses, corporate teams, and individuals. Initially, you will be responsible for generating new business as an individual contributor, meeting sales quotas by actively prospecting and closing deals. As the company continues to expand, you will take on the responsibility of building and leading the sales team, managing recruitment, training, and performance to scale the department effectively.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will spearhead the development and execution of the company’s sales strategy, collaborating with the leadership team to align efforts with overall business objectives. Your primary focus will be on growing revenue and market presence while building a high-performing sales team that drives sustainable long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business development by actively prospecting and closing deals with corporate clients, businesses, and individual learners.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to expand the company’s customer base and meet/exceed revenue targets.
  • Build, recruit, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing leadership, coaching, and guidance to ensure consistent results.
  • Leverage knowledge of the online learning platform, including its technical course offerings and collaborative community features, to articulate value to potential clients.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO and other leadership to refine and implement sales strategies that align with overall business goals.
  • Continuously assess and optimize sales processes and systems to ensure scalability, efficiency, and sustained revenue growth.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas, preferably within SaaS, edtech, or learning platforms.
  • Startup or high-growth environment experience preferred.
  • Expertise in selling to corporate clients, with a solid understanding of enterprise sales and business development.
  • Leadership experience is a plus – especially if it involves scaling teams from the ground up.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
