Sales Director, North America - Severe Service Control Valves & Valve Automation
Hunter Davies is partnered with a global OEM specializing in engineered control valves for severe service applications in the Oil & Gas and Industrial Process sectors. The company is seeking a Sales Director to lead the Outside Sales Team across Canada and the U.S., driving strategic growth and directing the sales strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor direct reports to achieve performance objectives.
- Collaborate with customer departments (Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, etc.) at a technical level.
- Develop and execute a robust sales strategy for severe service industrial markets.
- Drive new business opportunities using traditional and modern prospecting methods.
- Secure and expand major direct accounts across the U.S.
- Proactively pursue leads for new business development.
- Implement strategic initiatives for market capture and growth.
- Oversee pricing negotiations and sales processes.
- Promote the organization to meet strategic growth objectives.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and CRM reporting.
- Expand market share by winning business in new regions.
- Build a global customer network for business development.
Requirements to be successful:
- 8+ years of leadership experience in engineered control valves or adjacent severe service valves, particularly in Oil & Gas, Power Generation, and industrial markets.
- Proven leadership of national sales teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and influencing capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees preferred.
- Willingness to travel extensively across North America (less than 50% travel).

- Technical knowledge for effective sales strategy creation and deployment as well as driving business development growth.

Expected Compensation Package:
- Expected Base Salary: $165,000-$175,000 fixed, with OTE bonus, and package support (higher compensation considered for candidates exceeding qualifications).
