Title: Sales Director  

Location: West Coast (Remote)  

Focus: Truckload and Dedicated Contract Carriage

Position Overview:  

We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Dedicated Sales Director to lead dynamic sales efforts within the transportation sector. This role is exclusively focused on hunting new business opportunities and expanding market presence as an individual contributor. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in dedicated sales, a passion for building relationships, and the ability to drive growth through strategic initiatives.  

  

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Spearhead the development and execution of targeted strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities within the transportation industry.  
  • Lead the charge in expanding market reach, capturing untapped segments, and driving revenue growth.  
  • Initiate and nurture relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs and tailoring solutions to meet their requirements.  
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deal pursuit, from capitalizing on leads to successful contract negotiation.  
  • Embrace a hands-on approach in creating and delivering compelling sales presentations to prospects.  
  • Leverage your keen understanding of the transportation landscape to position dedicated services as a strategic advantage for potential clients.  
  • Utilize data-driven insights to refine strategies, optimize sales processes, and achieve ambitious sales targets.  

  

Qualifications:  

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.  
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven success in a dedicated sales role, within the transportation industry.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).  

  

Requirements:  

  • A strong passion for hunting new business and a relentless drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.  
  • Experience in providing dedicated transport solutions.  
  • Extensive travel is necessary to engage with clients and prospects on a regular basis.  
  • A background in asset-based transportation sales is highly preferred, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of industry dynamics.  
  • Proven experience in successfully navigating complex sales cycles, from prospecting to closing.  
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.  
  • High level of strategic thinking, with the ability to align sales efforts with organizational goals.  

  

Desirable Qualifications:  

  • No non-compete or non-solicit agreements in place.  
  • Demonstrated experience working with dedicated transportation solutions.  
  • A track record of fostering long-term client relationships.
