Position Overview
As a Salesforce Solution Architect, you will work with architects and analysts to design and implement Salesforce solutions that meet business requirements. You will develop, test, and maintain integrations, data migration, and customizations using tools like Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components. You'll ensure quality through testing, adhere to coding standards, and participate in code reviews to maintain best practices and design patterns.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high-quality business solutions on the Salesforce platform based on industry best practices and business requirements.
- Manage the implementation of improvements and new functionality in Salesforce applications.
- Provide support and solutions for break/fix issues.
- Communicate and collaborate with technical resources and stakeholders regarding project status, technical issues, and solutions.
- Perform Salesforce administration tasks (e.g., creating accounts/profiles, defining fields, updating layouts, reports, dashboards).
- Support Salesforce.com configuration tasks, such as field/page updates, workflows, and automated approvals.
- Assist with data migration-related activities for system cutover and Salesforce go-live.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities using project management methodologies to ensure the quality delivery of enterprise solutions.
- Monitor Salesforce.com usage to ensure compliance and maintain data security.
- Interface with business analysts and technical staff to deliver complete work products.
- Implement and integrate AppExchange platforms.
- Research and resolve integration issues, collaborating with operations and development teams.
- Develop new Salesforce prototypes and applications, researching emerging Salesforce technologies.
- Perform application maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Build and maintain client trust, relationships, and rapport.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Document best practices, operational procedures, and knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- 8+ years of experience in Salesforce development.
- Functional knowledge of Salesforce.com data structure and the ability to leverage the tool to meet complex process and reporting requirements.
- Proven expertise in Visualforce, APEX programming, Force.com APIs, and Web Services.
- Extensive experience with Salesforce development and implementation.
- Experience with Java-based applications.
- Proficiency with VSCode, Salesforce DX, and Git version control.
- Experience with Salesforce development and deployment tools.
- Experience leading, mentoring, and overseeing junior developers.
- Expertise in declarative configuration, Apex development, and Lightning development.
- Ability to translate user stories into working software with minimal oversight.
Preferred Skills
- Strong combination of business acumen and deep technical expertise in Salesforce.com.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet aggressive deadlines.
- Capable of working independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with technical and non-technical audiences across geographically dispersed teams (conference calls, Skype, face-to-face).
- Proficient in producing high-quality technical documentation and analysis.
- Proactively recommend process improvements and demonstrate creative problem-solving.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to quickly grasp new concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Salesforce certifications are mandatory.
