About the Role:  

Checkmarx is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Solution Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with our experienced Solution Engineers and their leadership team, gaining hands-on experience through customer interactions and real-world projects. Throughout your internship, you’ll gain exposure to key aspects of solution engineering, including product demonstrations, solution architecture, customer presentations, and technical sales support. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, learn from industry experts, and develop the critical skills needed to excel in this rapidly growing field.

The ideal candidate will be in the Dallas Texas area.  

  

Internship Details:  

  • Position: Solutions Engineer Intern / Professional Services Intern  
  • Duration: 3 months (Summer 2025)  
  • Hours: 40 hours per week  
  • Start Date: Flexible, Summer 2025  
  • Location: Remote in Texas, with in-person meetings in Dallas  
  • Compensation: To be discussed  
  • Eligibility: Open to students in the Computer Information Systems program, with a focus on security, or students pursuing an MS in Cybersecurity.  

  

In this role you will:  

  • Collaborate closely with Solution Engineers, Account Executives, and Checkmarx leaders to comprehensively understand customer requirements and deliver customized solutions.  
  • Support in crafting and presenting compelling demonstrations to effectively showcase the value of Checkmarx capabilities to address customer needs.  
  • Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, customer challenges, and competitor solutions to inform presentations and proposals.  
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of proof-of-values that help customers grasp the value of Checkmarx solutions.  
  • Participate actively in customer meetings, workshops, and discovery sessions to gain a deeper understanding of business requirements.  
  • Assist in optimizing internal processes and tools to enhance the efficiency of the Solution Engineering team.

By participating in the internship program, you’ll gain insights into the career of a Solution Engineer and understand how their role contributes to the success of our customers and Checkmarx.  

  

Requirements  

Technical Skills needed / GPA requirements:  

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field and graduate in Winter 2025 or Spring 2026.  
  • Knowledge of application/software development with C#, .NET, JAVA, PHP, etc. programming languages and experience with modern CI/CD and DevOps tools preferred, but an interest to continuously learn is required.  
  • Passionate about technology and customer-centric solutions.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to think creatively.  
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a focus on storytelling and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.  
  • Technical aptitude and ability to quickly grasp new technologies.  
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.  
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.  
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
