Role Description

We are seeking a Solutions Software Engineer (Frontend) who will wear multiple hats: working on our core platform, developing client-specific solutions, and leading the effort to demo our work to clients and their partners. You'll be client-facing and will work closely with them to understand their business needs and provide technical solutions using the Cinchapi platform and our software development services.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement advanced frontend solutions using Vue.js for to both enhance our platform and address client-specific needs
• Design and implement custom solutions for clients and their partners using our platform as a foundation
• Conduct technical demonstrations of both our core platform and the client solutions we build
• Provide training and support to clients and their partners on both our technology and the solutions we build for them
• Occasionally travel to conferences, events and strategic client meetings
• Design and build sophisticated data visualizations for large-scale datasets
• Contribute to open-source projects and represent Cinchapi in the developer community
• Manage multiple concurrent projects with varying priorities and deadlines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions
• Optimize application performance and responsiveness
• Collaborate with sales teams to address technical questions during the sales process
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Perform system administration tasks (account creation, password resets, etc.).
• Assist in identifying and staffing technical projects.
• Extract, analyze, and interpret data to inform decision-making.
• Develop and maintain regular reporting mechanisms.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis to address specific business questions.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of frontend development experience, with at least 5 years focused on Vue.js
• Expert-level knowledge of Vue.js, including state management (Vuex, Pinia) and advanced component design
• Mastery of Nuxt.js for building server-side rendered and static applications
• Proven experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js, Plotly.js)
• Strong portfolio demonstrating complex, responsive web applications
• Significant contributions to open-source projects or personal projects
• Experience in client-facing roles, including requirements gathering and technical presentations
• Deep understanding of frontend performance optimization techniques
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues
• Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Ability to travel 25% of time to events and meetings throughout the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

• Full-stack development experience, particularly with Java or other JVM technologies
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and API design
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of UX/UI design principles
• Experience with real-time data processing and visualization
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, especially in data analytics contexts

Compensation:

This contract role offers a competitive monthly retainer of $13,000 (annualized rate of $156,000), commensurate with the high level of expertise required.
