Our client is a fast growing software vendor based in the US and they are looking for a Linux System Engineer for their Vancouver office.

Job Description:

​

• Sole Linux system engineer on site for the users;
• Manage existing systems engineering (Linux/RedHat/Ubuntu, systems migration, network, VMware, backups, storage, etc.) and connect the dependencies and system integrations
• Systems migration: migrate from legacy systems to new infrastructure and migrate from on premise to cloud platform
• Engineer and implement new solutions and provide documentations
• Participate in remediation efforts, performing system maintenance, and regular patching
• Develop highly scalable tools and contribute to system automation by leveraging configuration management, images and templates across Linux

Requirements:

• 5 years experience working as system administrator or system engineer with strong knowledge in Linux such as Redhat and Ubuntu;
• Previous experience in supporting users and vendors;
• Experience in systems migration or cloud migration
• Strong communications and global team collaboration skills
